Yeah, it takes a bit to “pay back” the owed debt, but it’s a matter of a couple if weeks at most. Sleeping well and long for two-three days in a row should already have positive effects. While sleeping long only once might make you feel even more tired - or at least that’s how I feel.
one 3 hour block, one 6 hour block, if I’m lucky they’re together if I’m not I have to dedicate 12 hours to sleep. really depends on how much i wake up on the midnight shit. if i can stay asleep (and I have managed to stay asleep for well over a year and keep my (early telecommuting) job and shit. that was an interesting nap to wake up from) and i can, it really just depends how much garlic i et

Something something sleep debt.
At this point I figure I’m so far in the hole I just don’t worry about it much anymore. Plenty of time to catch up once I’m dead.

dude how do you know you aren’t already and catching up now
You need to get a sleep study.
You need consistent 8, not sporadic 10s and 12s.
When I do a 12hr sleep, I feel like my brain atrophied in my sleep, wake up and stay foggy all day.

Same. Sometimes I feel better with less hours myself.
