    Spoilers for films plus episodes
    • Star Trek: The Motion Picture + S02E03 “The Changeling”, both have similar plots, an Earth space probe merges with an alien and causes problems.
    • Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan + S01E22 “Space Seed”, the episode introduces “Khan Noonien Singh” who is ultimately defeated. The “wrath” of Khan is his revenge film. Basically the film is a sequel to the episode.
    • Star Trek III: The Search for Spock + S02E01 “Amok Time”, the episode largely deals with Spock and Vulcan customs, the film has similar themes. It’s a weird pairing, but Amok Time is a famous episode. I suppose Kirk and Spock’s friendship is also a big theme in both.
    • Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home + S01E28 “The City on the Edge of Forever”, both plots deal with time travel.
