    Paradoxically, I’m sure the only people this will inconvenience are regular folks trying to get two tickets to a show. Scalpers will have a way to update their ticket spinners and bypass any form of verification, resulting in shows STILL being sold out 1.3 seconds after they go on sale.

      I think these companies are themselves in on the resell racket. Their connected bots buy them instantly when they come available, and they get a cut out of higher sale prices. At least with livenation, john oliver did a thing about it on his show.

        They absolutely are because they own the resale market too and get a cut of all those sales. They don’t have to actually do the scalping themselves, just not get in the way.
