    Okay, so having done some data center work in my time - how are you going to have robots do things like rack and plug in servers? Troubleshoot physical motherboards for issues?

    Most DCs I’ve worked in are packed to the hills with racks, not many were standardized or logically laid out. If zuck wants to have his data centers built from the ground up with robots in mind, maybe this could work. But dumping them in existing places would be super challenging.

    Oh, and I’ve never seen a dc like the post picture. That’s waaaaaay too much inefficiently utilized floorspace.

    This will happen just as likely as all the hundreds of GWs of “AI compute” datacenters, for which there exists not enough power on the grid. All hype.
