    They have been looking into reflecting lasers since the Cold War. Even if you get 99.999% reflectivity, that only gives you a tiny window of time against modern lasers before the coating just goes poof thanks to tiny imperfections becoming hotspots

    It’s specially unviable for drones since most drones are supposed to be as cheap as you can make them. And it wouldn’t protect stuff like cameras and sensors.
