I don’t see how you can say it isn’t at least trying to be a centrist meme when “liberals think x, conservatives think y, they’re both wrong and I’m a genius because I think z” is the oldest centrist meme template in the book
“The imperial core shouldn’t be getting any treats paid for by war crimes” is a pretty leftist take though, not a centrist one. I would imagine a centrist being more like “We should distribute money between those two while continuing to do war crimes.”.
