Wasn’t Alienware the one selling shitty prebuilts?
It’s interesting to watch tech companies in recent years. The brands that used to be overpriced and over hyped are suddenly becoming the most affordable and highest quality. Not because they’ve necessarily improved, but simply because they haven’t embraced enshittification yet.
Except Alienware sold out to Dell and already enshitified. Had one of their prebuilts forever ago because it was the most ecconomic option at the time. While I guess it was okay for what it was (it was refurbished and thus cheaper), it seems like they went out of their way to make sure the only parts that fit in them are their own, modified parts.
It would be funny though to see the villain live long enough to become the hero by simply being less shitty than the current villain.
