The framework sets out five expectations for data centre projects, saying they must:

-Create lasting local benefits.

-Not shift electricity costs to Canadians.

-Minimize water use and environmental impacts.

-Be transparent about local impacts.

-Bring strategic value to Canada.

    I mean it’s a start.

    I know the stories about still birth livestock are fake but I’ve seen people interviewed who claim to be experiencing health complications from the noise. Also apparently a noticeable drop in small wildlife like birds and insects.

    IMO humanity’s goal should be Star Trek. We should build infrastructure with the long term plan of drastically reducing humanity’s physical footprint and returning as much space as we can back to wildlife.

    Data centers, if done responsibly, can help us get to that future.
