His PC runs Ubuntu 24.04 and the mouse is a Razer Basilisk V3 35K. I tested it on my Ubuntu PC and it had the same problem.

Is the mouse plugged directly into the motherboard USB port? I’ve had this with the built in USB hub in my monitor, it fails to initialize after waking up sometimes and needs a replug.
