Watched the first bit. It mentions at ~10:45 that it is possible and some random internet chatter, which I think can only be construed as heresay as long as no one like these guys are actually replicating it. Is there more later?

“It is possible” is a concern, but people have been saying “it is happening” without any credible evidence or reproduction for years now.

A company that is harvesting data is better to not be given benefit of the doubt. I’m left trusting them less as opposed to trusting them to respect privacy.

It’s not about benefit of the doubt. Fuck these data harvesting companies. What is important, however, is the truth. Making shit up and spreading unjustified FUD is not useful.

Preaching caution is FUD? Like telling people to not trust Windows, moving to custom roms like GrapheneOS on phones, or taking steps tp cease online connection of smart devices?

All corporations are data harvesting these days, so not trusting them and taking steps to reduce exposure seems to be good advice these days.

You give off the vibe of just trust them unless proven otherwise.

No. People saying “x is happening” then getting indignant when asked for proof they don’t have and insisting they should be allowed to say “x is happening” anyway is spreading FUD. Just tell the fucking truth? How hard is that? Are you being obtuse on purpose?
