I want it released already. Not because I’m going to be one of the many buying it or who pre-ordered it. But I’m sick of everything revolving around it. The Netflix Drama. Whether Rockstar uses Generative AI or not. The endless debates about the price tag. The activism people practice about digital vs physical that involves GTA 6.
Just tired of it all.

Most of the people bitching about it will still be buying it day 1 guaranteed. It’s all bs people just like to complain and everything surrounding gta6 is just made up or petty.
It’s going to be an amazing game. Wether people finish it or not is another question. I finally decided to complete red dead redemption 2. There was one achievement that popped up related to story that only 18% of players had gotten. So most people must have never finished the campaign
To this day red dead redemption is still one of the best looking games out there. GTA 6 is going to be better
I see this a LOT for some reason. Like, there are lots of games I play where the achievements make me think a majority of people that bought and played the game only did so for 30 minutes at most. I’ve seen achievements like “completed the tutorial” (completed by 60% of other players) and been like, wtf, 40% of people never even finish the tutorial?? And it seems to trend down from there. I wonder what that means often. Maybe people are playing the games in such a way that the achievements don’t register? Or there really are a ton of people buying games, playing them for 5 minutes, and then never touching them again??
Sly Cooper (the first one, I believe) has a trophy pop-in as soon as you get control of the character, after a short cut scene.
That trophy isn’t 100% either.
I’ve got friends who are buying games on sale, because maybe they will play it someday, and then they have 150 games they will playvsomeday (the list is growing bigger).
Those are friends with thousands of hours on CS or Hoi
Does it count if you buy it but never even launched it? That could be a significant portion of these things, but I kind of assumed the game had to have been launched at least once to start tracking achievements…
If its a game that appears on gamepass I probably feature in those stats. I dont have the time/attention span for a big epic game any more, so I’ll play it for a little while and when its obvious the scope is outside of my capabilities I just drop it. RDR2 I dropped as soon as I got past the prologue and into the camp. It showed me the size of the map, and then all the little fetch quests you’d need to reshoe your horse, and you need to keep your camp stocked with food, and I just said nope.
I’ll also drop games if they don’t feel “unique” enough. This is pretty subjective and open to hypocrisy on my part. I gave up on Hogwarts Legacy after the first fight. I was excited for Bully or Skool Daze in a magical world, but it was just assassin’s creed with magic wands.
I have a bad habit of not finishing games. Like I love balurs gate 3 but I’ve never completed it
Fully agree. It’s the zeitgeist right now, it’s the biggest gaming moment in a long time, and while the hate of crunch and union busting is real, rockstar has a solid track record of near perfect games. Few of them, but near if not actually perfect. Guaranteed most people here complaining will pick it up after a while and justify it to themselves.
If it exists. I don’t know why rockstar wouldn’t release the next gen update for rdr2 now. It would give us 3 months to explore that world again. Because once gta6 hits nobody will be playing that and once online hits RDR2 will be forgotten about. Granted I never got into gta5 online but think I will this time
I’ll be honest, does rdr2 need a next gen update? Or is this a specific release for ps5 or something?
Personally I don’t play GTA 5 online, but I like how Alana Pearce put it. I don’t like it, not my thing, but it’s just a money printer that lets rockstar make whatever they want to with near unlimited budgets. So thanks to those who buy shark cards and micro transactions so we can have masterpieces like GTA and rdr
It’s rumoured that they have a switch 2 version and a update that will enable 60fps also fix the broken HDR and upgraded graphics. For all versions.
Honestly I can’t imagine hunting in the game on the switch version
Ah got it. Sorry to be pc master race but that’s why I didn’t notice. Although their hdr implementation leaves a lot to be desired
I have a gaming laptop but most of my stuff is on Xbox. I’m not a good keyboard and mouse player. Plus I prefer to sit on the couch instead of computer chair
I used to be Xbox, bit as I became more and more of focused I ended up building a pc for the livingroom, with steam big picture and a controller. Rdr2 is a big TV game for me, weird to play at a desk
I wish I could figure that out how to stream it to tv. Can you turn computer on/off from tv ?
