I was at a house cleaning (my partner and I clean airbnbs)

It’s a big house in between Valdosta and Hahira GA. They called it the Morven House.

      https://maps.app.goo.gl/WStvQFQyBQEtBiLa9

That’s the house, to give an idea of how in the woods I was. It was 2 story house with a huge master bed and bath, huge family room and huge kitchen. With 3 bedrooms and a fullbath up stairs. The outside was woods with a river in the back.

This was about 12 at night (car didn’t have ac at the time, so I drove it at night)

My partner usually works with me, but she had been working really hard so I was by myself.

Around 2 am, I was mopping the master bath. When I heard what I thought was someone running up stairs. The lights were off up there, as I had just finished cleaning it.

I stopped, waited. Didn’t hear anything, got back to listening to Distractible. That’s when I heard it again.

Now, I’m not a little bitch. Human or Demon, you best be ready for objects to be flung at you and fist to ignite you. I am as mean as Satan’s spit. So, with a piece of rebar I keep on my cleaning kit (yes crazy, but no one fucks with a man with a 12 in rebar in his hand) I went up and said "anyone here, this is your only chance to leave. Other wise I will kill you.

Which sounds crazy, but I know what humans are capable of. My mom was almost kidnapped by a group of men on her way home from working at the 7/11 in Tampa.

And if you are in my house or place.of work when you aren’t suppose to be, I assume the worst.

I get up there a flick the lights on. Checked each room. Nobody. As I left the last room, and started towards the stairs that’s when it got bad.

Suddenly I heard feet. Big feet. And felt it. It felt like someone big like Andrea the Giant big was bull rushing me from behind. My brain screamed, my body tensed, and I swung around rebar up and ready to bop a mudder.

I was left looking down a pitch black hallway. I stood there for what felt like forever but was just a couple of minutes. Finished up with no podcast or music and left so quickly.

The creepiest part was going to get in the car. Pitch black woods with no lights.

my freakiest day 4 hallucination was seeing a shadow person walk through the window then jump into my favorite nephew’s mouth like it was possessing him. I fucking know shadow people aren’t real, but like, holy shit.

i’m glad you got some sleep after that. i would need the biggest hug.

Oh damn. I have seen shadows dart across.

The hardest was seeing a blurry image of my little baby princess cat Mable. She had passed during Christmas and it was a week after. I just couldn’t sleep. Blaming myself for not knowing she was sick or the way she got sick could’ve been prevented.

I was 33, in a vets office, letting our wails of sorrow and pain. On my knees begging a God I don’t believe in to save a cat I stole from it’s abusive owners.

So I was distraught for a while. I’m even tearing up typing this.

I saw her out the corner of my eye and heard her little chirps she would do to greet me when I got home. I turned my head so quickly and went "Mable!?’ Then it hit me…she wasn’t there. She was gone and I’d never see her again.

It haunts me to this day and I feel, honest to the Universe, that I hear her in other rooms and seeQ her run by the corner of my eye.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say sometimes I hope the hallucinating would get to a point to see her fully and tell her how sorry I am I failed her and how I wish I wouldn’t have been so busy being a father and a husband that I could have seen she needed me. To tell her that her little cat life left such an impact on me that I choose to confront life with more kindness and love, just like she would do.

          Ugh sorry. Got emotional there.
