But basically people that know this subject in detail say that it’s not thinking, it’s not reasoning, it’s choosing the most popular response from the bank of responses it holds, and as such, will never be able to get rid of hallucinations as such.
Nevertheless I am calling it LLMs and you all should too. Because whatever computer programmers call it, the public envisions something different that llm’s are not when they hear AI.

It’s historical. Pathfinders are AI for example. It’s just an acronym for computer doing “brain work”.
