She was from the Midwest. Spent 3 years in Prague and visited the UK like 3 times, then moved back to Chicago. Insisted she “worked with a lot of Brits and it just stuck.”
Yeah, I’ve worked with a lot of tall people. Didn’t make me grow taller.
Unless it’s one of those incomprehensible accents that we can barely comprehend. It’s got to be an RP sounding accent for me to consider adding the IQ points.
If you can do a reasonably standard English accent, Americans will mentally add 20 IQ points to how intelligent they perceive you to be.
