Seems like a pet project in the first place. People can run a full steam OS at this point.

You can on a used AMD BC-250 board, which is what’s inside a PS5. With a liquid cooling set up, I spent less than €400, which includes a new 1TB ssd (almost half of the cost)

I just finished my build and it’s great!!

There used to be a time where you bought hardware and MAYBE you could do more with it. The assumption being that someone is going to fuck you over later so you can do less with your hardware sucks.

Well, there is an assumption like this with playstation, and this assumption exists since ps3. I’m not saying that it wouldn’t be great if there were an ability to install whatever you want.

There was an exploit in some firmwares that allowed it to be done. This story is about the guy who created the project to allow that.

If you’ve updated your PS5 anytime recently those bypasses won’t work for you.
