The thing about moms is that they will ask if you are gay over the smallest most trivial things. In many cases it seems like they want you to be gay.
I imagine a reason for this is that women think maintaining and forming relationships with women is easy so if their own child fails to do so, their only conclusion is “he must lack the incentive to do so”

I think this might be a generational difference in showing acceptance. My dad asked me if I was a lesbian all the time, because he wanted to reassure me that he still loved me if so. I found it very annoying when I was in middle/high school, but in my case it was basically harmless, so whatever. Hopefully your mom’s just doing the same :)
