Don’t worry, that pill bottle problem will be solved if Canada joins the EU. You’ll get wonderful blister packs instead.

Why though? Do you enjoy accidentally spilling all of your pills? It’s really easy to pop them out and put into a bottle if you’d want it like that. It feels good to not risk the stressed overworked pharmacy tech putting something wrong into my bottle.

Hmm, what kinds of blisters you have where it requires much force…? Screwing a bottle, especially the child-safe ones the US has, requires a lot more force?

It’s usually foil holding in the tablets, a tip I usually use is slightly slicing it with my fingernail and then the tablet just falls out. The only blisters that I’ve seen that’s somewhat difficult would be Mirtazapine orally dissolving tablets, where there’s a paper layer on the foil.

Blisters use paper backing here, and prescription bottles actually use a thumb release and twist now that requires far less strength than the standard child safes where you press down and twist. Then if you don’t have to worry about kids you just flip the lid over and screw it into the bottle
