This crappy collage from 22 years ago popped up in my “remember this day” feed. (probably taken with a motorola flip phone) Which led me to wonder what would be a good collective noun for a group of General Lees…
A lost cause.
A hazzard.
The jumps they did on the show frequently bent the frame of the stunt car, totaling it. They went through quite a few cars. I wonder if this is a new batch incoming or an old batch headed for the scrap yard.
I think they were new ones for the movie they made back then
A confederation?
This is the only answer I’ll accept as real, and I have logged it in my head cannon. Thank you for your service.
That seems like the most technically correct answer
I believe that should be Generals Lee. Like Attorneys General
Attorneys Generals Lees Marvins Gaye
A bootleg?
I’m going with “A Treason”
My friend suggested “A Surrender”
Probably also from not making the payments.
Considering both the name and that they were all probably stunt cars for Dukes of Hazzard, I’ll suggest “a loss”.
A rally, works for a car or a Klansman
Someone woke up on the wrong side of life.
Right side of history
I thought it was funny
Hilarious, even
Generals Lee, it’s like Attorneys General or Surgeons General.
If they were actual generals, yes, but since “General Lee“ is the entire name and “General” is not a rank/title, it’s “General Lees”. Because this isn’t a group of generals named “Lee”, it’s a group of cars named “General Lee”.
So the correct pluralization would be “General Lees”.
It’s easy to get confused with this exception to the rule
Fuck you were quick
Golden opportunity for a “that’s what she said” joke, thank you!
A Dropout
That’s the collective noun for a group of comedians.
Generals, Lee
