So I’m off on holiday soon, and my x4 e-reader is conspicuously devoid of unread sci-fi. Can anyone point me at a good source? I’ve checked the easily findable places

Has anyone found a way to use the ebooks without Amazon? Every one I’ve joined has used Libby to access Kindle books and I haven’t found a different way to access the content.

if you mean library books ? i use Kobo and it has Overdrive for e-Library access to my local library, works even overseas and I thought it might be geolocked. (I travel SE Asia 8 months a year on the cheap)

I just use Calibre and plug in via USB for the 10,000+ebooks i have.

There’s an extension for Calibre called DE-DRM that works in the majority of cases.

I download for reading and either just read with the adobe DRM still there, or strip the adobe DRM to have a clean epub file.

Don’t know about amazon, haven’t encountered Libby using that.
