Apparently pre-rinsing confuses the dishwasher or something. Not doing it leaves me with residue all over the other dishes though 🤷

i always, always set my dirties in the sink, drizzle some dawn in/on and soak them in hot water mostly overnight but a minimum of five hours. rinse and load and they come out spotless every time
That sounds like almost as much work as washing by hand!
its not, though. takes less than a minute per dish
So does washing by hand 😆
It’s also basically doubling the water usage.
