Honestly, Gotham’s criminals should really have figured out how to commit crimes in the daytime by now.

They do. In the second movie of the Dark Knight trilogy Joker mocks one of the mobs for only being active during the day because of Batman.

But it doesn’t really matter because he does show up during day time in a lot of scenarios, especially when he starts interacting more with the Justice League. It just looks really awful in the live actions whenever he does outside of the trilogy(because it was symbolic). Cartoon Batman has his eyes whited out and tends to be more sleek, much better at giving off those mystery vibes even during the day. Live action Batmans during the daytime just looks like a guy in lots of body armor with a cape and tiny bat ears, especially Affleck’s version.

If they were smart they wouldn’t be criminals in the first place, hell their boss calls himself the joker for a a reason

Criminal deviance involves many more complex factors than intelligence, most of which have to do with socioeconomics.

Now labeling theory would like a word or maybe social differentiation theory as well.

(If this is just satire to make the joker joke, then I got wooshed on this one)
