Ah, the classic Rs-in-strawberry conundrum. Despite looking like a simple question. The answer is actually tricky, that is because stroberry is—unlike most English words—is pronounced as it is spelled.

      The reveal

In strawberry there are two Rs.

      Strawbe-rr-y

      The catch

Because of the third R in strawberry (Str-aw-berry) it is often assumed to have only one R, despite having two actually.

Can I help you with any other question? For example:

      • are strawberries a fruit or a nut?
      • how many Rs are in your specific variety of strawberry?

I’d say…about NaN Rs. Since “strawberry” is a palindrome, it’s all Rs.

      NSFW, TMI

You know what’s better than strawberries and also starts with an R tho? Reverse cowgirl.
While not a palindrome, it’s kinda dope :3
