Local law enforcement were made aware of the situation when West’s heirs tried to sell the property, according a police affidavit.

Really bizarre situation, not sure why he would have an expectation of getting away with that

Maybe he was dumb and didn’t realize how much paperwork goes into deed theft. Its a real problem in some areas, enough of a problem Mandani had to make a task force for it in NYC.

He’s a cop, he is legally required to be low intelligence…so yes he was and is dumb.

What a strange story. He actually did things legally when it came to renovating the home, but he broke all the laws so he could stay in the home? I guess the idiom is true: Don’t break the law while you are breaking the law.

His mistake was basically on the identity theft and lying. He basically was attempting to get the possession of household via squaters rights(which would take what, 7 years to complete) but went out of his ways to cover his tracks illegally.
