I would expect the audience for each to be different, although I am surprised to see Wildwood is rated PG-13. Clayface is R rated, and for adults. You Can See Everything is R rated, and for adults. So I would think Wildwood could sneak into the “for kids” category, but PG-13 probably pushes people away.
To be clear I’m actually more interested in seeing it knowing it’s PG-13. It’s rare we get more mature animated feature films. Plus Kubo and the Two Strings was an excellent film, so the same studio and director, I bet it’s good.
But… To your point, October has been a surprisingly busy month for movies.
I went and saw it yesterday. It’s a great film which would have had to compromise on a lot to stay within an all ages category. It’s not as graphic as the other other two, but it definitely earns its rating.
