I just finished Cronos: The New Dawn. It was phenomenal. I had read a few comments on Lemmy claiming it was anti-socialist, but I can’t say I agree. It’s definitely anti imperialist, anti military, and anti Soviet (it takes place in occupied Poland, after all) but I didn’t find it to be anti socialist or even anti communist.
My point is that people tend to arrive at these conclusions using a few scattered examples (usually something a character said within the setting) and then claim the game itself shares those specific political views.
It’s either something like that or very silly culture war nonsense that they yell about. Do they just not want women in games at all?
American military games are often straight up propaganda, though. There’s no denying that.

Equating anti-soviet with anti-communism is very on brand for tankies around here, yeah.
When were at anti soviet already, if you like these kinda socialist-anti-soviet-and-imperialist games, you gotta play metro exodus
I don’t want to spoil, but all major story beats are about paranoia and the iron curtain
