If bikes are violently forced to drive like cars against all reason, then car brians will be crying even louder while bicyclists are murdered at even higher rate.

Serious question: Imagine I’m sitting on my bike in front of your car at a red light. Which option would you prefer?

    • We both follow the supposed “law”. - I wait until the light turns green. I slowly accelerate from a stop to 12mph. You ride my ass for a block, then we repeat at the next light.
    • I follow the “law”. - You randomly run me over because of road rage or drunk or distracted or bad driver or fash terror or whatever.
    • I break the “law”. - I run the red light. When you get the green light, I’m half of a block ahead of you. If you catch up with me, I dip onto the (empty) sidewalk so you (and any other cars) can pass, then I drop back into the street behind the traffic.

I take option 3 because it’s better for the cars and much much safer for me. Car laws don’t make sense for bikes. Car brains really have no idea what it’s like out there. Height of privileged mentality.
