Yeah? At this price I’ll just not buy this new phone and keep my old, cheaper to produce, phone. The consumer/buyer doesn’t have to care why it’s expensive, they have to decide if the price is acceptable or not. Motorola could have chosen cheaper components and made a phone that’s worse, but also cheaper. That would have likely have been a phone I’d buy but instead they made a flagship that costs 1900€.

At this price It’s just not worth it for me.

Actually mostly seriously yes. It’s not the consumers fault we’re getting gangbanged, to no benefit as well, the fuck are we just accepting another shaft like ‘well there is no alternative so I’ll take it and say thank you’.

Companies: “who could have predicted that scarcity that we created would have caused price gouging? oh won’t somebody please think of the customers!” hitting ‘post’ and then bathing in their profits

If you want a low volume phone in the middle of the RAM and storage prices this is what it costs if its still around in a couple years it’ll cost less.

The price is inline with Librems Liberty phone
