How do China's government, political system, and socialist market economy work? How does it see democracy? Prominent Chinese academic Zhang Weiwei explains in this sit-down interview with Ben Norton.
I listened to this earlier, while working out! Very good interview, I particularly liked how Weiwei explained that it’s the control of goods that gives production-focused economies advantage over currency-focused economies like the US, and why the flailing of the US Empire after being caught in its own trap of de-industrialization is playing in the favor of the PRC.
Yep, was very good to emphasize that the US is only about finance capital, which can’t win in the long run against industrial socialism. The part about the 4 consecutive 5 year EV plans was cool too.

Yep! Really shows the benefits of intentional planning through socialism in a practical and approachable way.
