KDE e.V.’s latest report is out. In this issue, we cover the activities of our association in 2024. KDE’s yearly report gives a comprehensive overview of all that has happened during 2024, covering the progress we have made with KDE’s Plasma and applications as well as results from community sprints, conferences, and external events the KDE community has participated in worldwide.

I’ll sign, this is just awful. Like a weird punctuation that is just there to be in the way.

I agree. It’s ChatGPT style, I hate it.

Your comment made me go down a rabbithole and this thread pretty much summarizes everything: https://redlib.catsarch.com/r/firefox/comments/azg1xz/disablingblocking_emojis/

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Linux is a family of open source Unix-like operating systems based on the Linux kernel, an operating system kernel first released on September 17, 1991 by Linus Torvalds. Linux is typically packaged in a Linux distribution (or distro for short).

Distributions include the Linux kernel and supporting system software and libraries, many of which are provided by the GNU Project. Many Linux distributions use the word “Linux” in their name, but the Free Software Foundation uses the name GNU/Linux to emphasize the importance of GNU software, causing some controversy.
