    the phrase doesn’t mean all teachers are incapable. it means that people who can’t do a thing have a tendency to teach it instead as a way to remain involved

    similar to a “not all x are y, but all y are x” situation

              You can only use it in a self-deprecating manner if you are yourself an educator, in which case, you’re still minimizing educators.
