Title says it all, I am using the latest version of Linux Mint, with an Archer T2U Plus usb. I can detect and connect to the 2.4g just fine.
I am using the morrownr 8812au driver from github. What might be the problem? I’ve heard I might need to add the 5g MAC address to my network manager, but I want to make absolutely sure it isnt like an option or toggle i have on. I had this same issue in MX Linux about six months back but still no dice.
I think you meant 2.4GHz and 5GHz, for wifi.
2g and 5g are for cellular networks.
You could install a newer kernel. Support was added more recently
Yes, if I get the information right, from kernel 6.14 onwards, one should use the
mac80211driver, already included in the kernel, instead of the8812audriver from morrownr.

It might help you to know there’s a possibly better community for tech support questions about Linux. Someone there may have the answer you’re looking for.
I’m a Linux noob so I’m sorry I can’t help more.
