the thing, too, is that what’s changed hasn’t been Israel’s brutality or the world at large’s complicity in this brutality. it’s been people younger than a certain age learning to empathize and listen to people different from themselves. these reactionary torture based movements spearheaded by the great imperial powers in DC, Moscow, and Beijing are a desperate maneuver to maintain control over us through the same violence that’s been enacted against minorities and marginalized people for milenia. i’m not super hopeful that tomorrow will be better than today, but i’m very hopeful about the day after that and the day after that.

it is not enough in this time to not be a bigot. you must be antibigoted. we all have to take the place of the education systems that woke us up to the truth. the reactionaries want to destroy all of that and people like you and me who lack education are their greatest weapons
