Sigh… I was so excited about the sword of truth. Instead we got… Xena.
I’ve read as many of the Sword of Truth books as I could stomach and I would vastly prefer Xena.
I can respect that. And I liked Xena. I just didn’t like something not Xena turning into Xena.
Have you read any Sword of Truth books lately?
I quit at the one where Richard pulled himself up by his bootstraps so goddamn hard that he cured the world of communism and laziness, specifically by carving a really good statue.

Shannara was my way into fantasy and playing D&D. I love those books because at the time when I was in high school I found LOTRs to be unwieldy. The Sword of Shannara opened up the world for me and when the show was announced I was excited. The show runner even did an AMA on reddit and I flat out told him if he fucks it up he needs as ass beating. He assured me I would love it. I could not make it though the first episode without raging.
