Together, Nexstar and Sinclair account for about 70 ABC affiliates, meaning Kimmel's return will not be available over broadcast to tens of millions in the U.S.
Nexstar is the second station owner to keep the show off the air, even as Disney brings the show back nationally.
They should make a national version of ABC and put it on Disney+ and Hulu for no additional charge. Replace any local segments with either game show reruns or ABC News Live simulcasts.
I actually agree that Jimmy Kimmel probably shouldn’t be on the air, but I also think that if ABC wants to provide his program to their customers and viewers, they should be able to do so. I know it will probably be available next day on Hulu, but still.
Billions? Why? It’d be online-only and be distributed through Hulu and Disney+. They already made streams for different genres on Disney+ so it truly can’t be that expensive.

Running a national version of ABC would cost them tens of billions annually, and anger their affiliates, who they depend on.
