OK, that’s empowering! It’s just trying so embarrassingly hard to be like Amélie or Wes Anderson and it’s not good at it, and it’s so cheaply produced (take a closer look at the recurring zoom in on the Pie Hole). But it’s all so over the top that it comes out almost psychedelic. And they make good plot choices, so far at least, that are more realistic than anything else in the show.
