TL;DR: Mozilla is killing localization on Support Mozilla, overwriting articles written by humans with machine generated translations. Although Mozilla knows that their AI doesn’t localize or adhere to style guides, Mozilla is going live with it anyway. I thank locale leaders and localizers for their tireless efforts. Locale leaders seem to be obviated by AI, and Mozilla has nothing to say about it.

Terrible, all that work gone to waste for some bullshit technology that can’t even get it correct.

We really wish mozilla became a worker owned co-op, or realised that losing good faith with your community just for some bullshit that does it wrong but 100x faster isn’t a good look.

We really wish there were any good firefox alternatives but the alternatives are either LLM involved themselves, run by terrible people with terrible views, or they don’t care about privacy.

Neither is in any of the repositories for our distro, however, even if they were they still rely on firefox and mozilla, which would then cause issues if we wanted to look something up on their support thing. Unless each project independently maintains a support site with translations created by the community too.
