I guess it’s time for you to disrespect someone. I have the most adorable little thing imaginable, and I love her to pieces, but I cannot stand that she needs to be heard for hours at a time for as long as she isn’t receiving attention. When I’m trying to get work done, when I’m trying to sleep, when I’m feeling ill, when I’m not in the same room as her, when all I need for a moment is some peace and quiet to keep from unraveling, having this tiny unrelenting screaming demon in my ear does not bring me joy. I don’t need her to be quiet at all times, but I simply cannot function as a sane human if I have someone screaming at me when I’m exhausted or stressed out. It was cute for a month, but it gets old fast.

Yeah, with the unwillingly part I meant that I try to compensate (immediately), usually by acknowledging that I don’t have enough data.
