I live in a city with a huge Chinese community and it’s really fun to notice these things related to food.

In Chinese restaurants you are expected to order a set of food for a number of people and the food is served in big plates in the center of the table as the illustration shows, so we have to order something everyone agrees on and later share it, only taking what we need to our plate

Of course we don’t use chopsticks and the food is not strictly Chinese but the customs were adapted too and it is a really different but pleasant experience
