    I haven’t watched SNL in decades. I remember the worst part of SNL being the insane number of adds that made the second half unwatchabe. In the late 80 it was nuts. You would get a 90 second skit annd two minutes of ads.

    This surprises me because I don’t remember seeing any “Land Of Gorch” sketches in all the vintage 70s SNL reruns I’ve seen.

    Did they cut them out for broadcast TV reruns in the 80s?

      It may have been a licensing thing, just like how Beavis and Butt-Head dvds do not have the music videos on them.
