And if it’s from the 1960/70s… removed it from one room and then the rest of the house I just tore out the ceilings and replaced with new drywall…fuck wallpaper and fuck popcorn ceilings.
In 1978 I witnessed the before/after my dad popcornning the ceiling in basement he renovated into a cozy den, he included light sparkles in the ceiling popcorn. Nowadays we would call it glitter but it was smaller than glitter. Just tiny silver sparkles that would catch the light. It was glorious.
That’s unpainted popcorn ceiling. If it was painted it wouldn’t be so easy.
