If you can’t even make sure you’re consistent from one frame to next, why is anything else you’re going to be said taken as seriously? When you can’t even spend 2 seconds to make sure you haven’t fucked something up.
Sorry for trying to have a discussion about why the meme falls apart. If you think I’m attacking the meme content, that says all I need about you, like the other user.
If you seriously think that a minor inconsistency is material enough to throw out any consideration of the author’s point, you’re being needlessly pedantic. We are capable of critical thought and can easily examine the premise, come to the obvious conclusion that the meme does in fact have a point and satirize a specific brand of homophobia, and move on, all regardless of a minor continuity error that can easily be chalked up to an absence of material directly preceding the bottom frame.
If you:
Believe that some homophobes believe homosexuality is unnatural
Believe that the bottom quote refutes that point
Understand the clear metaphor of the homophobes to the pictured woman
Then why does the difference of a jersey undermine the entire meme for you? It absolutely isn’t about your personal beliefs, but it would be very odd to hold beliefs consistent with the enumerated points and still make a huge fuss over a minor continuity error. It’s a meme. I didn’t even notice the jersey difference until it was pointed out. How could that minor difference matter at all to the overall point, which anyone capable of critical thinking understands clearly.
Do you need the term consistency in narrative explained to you?
Goalies don’t wear the same jersey as the rest of the team. They often have several different jerseys they wear in different games
And? It’s called consistency in narrative.

Seems like you’re spending a lot of effort to find a reason to discredit the meme, when everyone else got it just fine. Pedants are so tiring.

So both then?

I was, yeah. And I didn’t, but that’s because I bit another girl and got kicked out. In my defense it was halloween, and I was dressed as a vampire.
