The legendary gag manga KochiKame: Tokyo Beat Cops (JP: こちら葛飾区亀有公園前派出所), which ran in Weekly Shonen Jump for nearly 40 years without a single hiatus, is returning with a brand new anime project titled New KochiKame: Tokyo Beat Cops.
As the project name suggests, the new anime will feature a refreshed approach with an entirely new cast, while animation production will once again be handled by Studio Gallop. This marks the first full scale new Kochikame anime production since 2016, making it a return after a decade. Details about the new cast are scheduled to be announced in September 2026. ……
