We cannot take the land of sovereign nations. Period. To do so is warfare against a NATO member.

I mean he’s pally with Putin, and what better gift to Putin than to have NATO fighting the US over Canada and Greenland so he can take Ukraine and the Baltics?
Pretty sure we can. We’ve got a long and storied history of doing it before now. And with American Mussolini in charge, why not do the Western Hemisphere equivalent of picking a fight with Ethiopia and losing?

As global warming turns that part of the world ice-free, the benefits of mineral exploitation and strategic military bases make taking Greenland a no-brainer from a logical point of view. This is not lost on Trump’s controllers, Putin least of all. Plus, Trump gets an ego boost from taking a huge chunk of land.
From a sane point of view, the US is all but declaring war on NATO. I cannot begin to guess how this plays out, but I think the Trump Reich will fall before any of this becomes reality.
Remember, he’s dying of dementia right in front of our eyes and the cult cannot survive the death of the leader. He doesn’t even have to die, just get so bad his handlers don’t allow him in public, and we’re already seeing that. If Vance becomes President, he inherits all the evil shit Trump did. Neither MAGA nor the politically disconnected man-on-the-street will track that back to Trump, Vance will take the blame.
tl;dr: It would be a strategic win, big time, to take Greenland. Not gonna happen.
Does someone know the actual ins and outs of why they are so obsessed with this? Is this merely distraction or is there some underlying reason that either the powers-that-be running the US (ie: not the orange turd, he knows nothing except the last person who told him he was the best ever) or the powers-that-be running Russia (who control the orange turd) want Greenland to be annexed by the United States? Because I don’t know anything about it that makes sense. Huge untapped oil reserves? I mean, it has to be something other than “Greenland is AWESOME and wouldn’t it be just SUPER if they were a part of the US” that is published in these stupid fluff pieces.

In addition to mineral exploitation, global warming is opening up the Artic and owning Greenland, with the associated military presence, turns that land into a major strategic and economic zone.
Imagine once those northern sea lanes are ice-free 365-days a year. He who controls Greenland controls several major shipping lanes from Europe to Asia. Take a look on the map.
