The show has plenty of issues but I’m sticking with it. I’m not blind to it’s faults nor do I hate it outright.
The ending to 5p1 was quite the ride. Good entertainment.
I think the Honest Trailer for it nailed a lot of the critiques, like the lengthy exposition dumps, but it’s not as trash as it’s made out to be. There were still some subtle takes in the show.

While D&D isn’t my preferred TTRPG I have enough experience with the older versions that Will becoming a Sorcerer was a good “in-joke”. Sorcerers, magic users in general, were dogshite for the first while in the early editions. But once they got access to 3rd levels spells they start their ascension towards a somewhat literal godhood. Will was kinda dogshite for the first four seasons, but now? Looks like he got to cast Fireball for the first time into a horde of Xvarts.
