i think that the future generation who’s raised by ai slop made by clankers would end up supporting a future fascist regime in the us.

how do you think this can be solved?

I haven’t looked into the origins of this latest list of terms, but 2 slurs have already been ruled out for their racially charged ties to other slurs and the tendency people who use them have to use them in ways that “pretend at” racism (i.e. saying that AI should be “segregated”) and that alone makes me wary of people who want to make up some slurs for AI, even if I generally find that it’s being used for things it’s wildly unsuitable for.

Do you seriously not see the racist connotations? You can absolutely say that AI should be segregated. But I will assume you are a racist who wants to get away with “pretend racism” by directing it at AI instead of just being openly racist.

i’m NOT prejudiced in any way, shape and form. i care deeply about equity, inclusivity and freedom. that said, i read the npr article that you linked, and i sincerely apologize for saying words that were used against ai, but were used for microaggressions.

i am against the idea of ai being used for profit and such which is why i asked that question. i sincerely hope you forgive me. oh and are there any words i should use against ai chatbots? i’m NOT even sure if i ask if i can say ‘bleep-blorpie’ for ai bots.

I didn’t link the article, but I’m glad to hear you’ve read it now.

i care deeply about equity, inclusivity and freedom

To quote someone else in this thread:

Why are you worried about virtue signaling.

You’ve frequently made claims about things you care about, or believe in, but your words come across as empty when you fail to understand or reflect on or understand how the things you say come across as racist (or Zionist).

i am against the idea of ai being used for profit and such which is why i asked that question

Ok, great, but why did that need to be expressed using terms that are heavily tied to a history of racism and oppression? You can say it just like you did here and not equate a hatred of how AI is being used with a hatred of people.

are there any words i should use against ai chatbots? i’m NOT even sure if i ask if i can say ‘bleep-blorpie’ for ai bots

I don’t know - what’s the origin of “bleep-blorpie”? Is it a permutation of some slur? Is it something that you will use in a way that is “pretend racist”? If so, seems like a bad idea to me.

              1. i’m NOT sure who linked the article in the thread, i forgot. that said, thank you!

              • why did they say ‘virtue signaling’ (a term used by conservatives)
              • do you have any reasons why? can you explain?
              1. let me ask the question simply in different wording: "if ai continues to be used for kids’ media and that leads to future generations NOT telling whether something is ai-generated or NOT, would these generations become more susceptible to supporting authoritarian or totalitarian forms of government (ie: fascism)?

              • “bleep-blorpie” is just a term i made up for ai bots. i thought about using it as a derogatory term against ai bots, but i think “bleep-blorpie” is best as an affectionate term. if i wanna talk about ai bots critically, i’ll just say “ai bots” or “ai chatbots”.
              • can i repost that question in the wording i’ve provided in this comment?
              • do you accept my apology for saying words used against ai chatbots that were unintentionally used as microaggressions?
              1. do you think i should study socialist/communist theory a bit more?

They said virtue signaling because it’s the essence of what you’re doing - declaring that you express a set of viewpoints rather than actually demonstrating your belief in them through your words and actions.

I don’t personally see any reason to start another discussion with slightly different wording.

I don’t believe you need to apologize to me. If you need some acceptance of your apology, I give it, but I see that acceptance as meaningless, personally.

You’ve asked many times whether you should study more theory and I don’t think I’ve ever seen any variation in the answers. Perhaps instead of asking whether you should, just do.
