Looking for the best bluetooth adapter with Linux (Mint) compatibility…I got one now but it seems to have cutting out issues and doesn’t work well with some stuff (like a PS4 controller).
Or maybe it’s just Linux bluetooth being terrible as usual? Has anyone had luck with different dongles? (No scamazon links please)

Assuming your problem is not simply distance/interference between antennas, it could be due to the chip in your bluetooth adapter. My DualShock 4 v2 works well with both my external dongle and my motherboard’s BT, but other people have not been so lucky.
I have seen these chips work:

Here are some reports from several years ago: (You might want to add your adapter to the list as a bad one.)

So, if you try different adapters, I think you’ll eventually find one that works.
I have one now. ;)
Good luck!
Appreciate it! My mobo has no wifi either so it shouldn’t be interfering…
My bluetooth audio has been cutting out now as well so I really think the dangle succs, not so much linux fault
