I have favorites from every generation, but I’ll try to narrow it down to a few:

    • Growlithe Growlithe sitting and looking off to the side
    • Specifically Spiky-eared Pichu Pichu with 3 points on its left ear
    • Umbreon Umbreon looking behind itself
    • Zoroark Zoroark in a dynamic pose looking to the side
    • Clodsire Clodsire looking nonplussed to the side

I have a lot more favorites, and don’t even get me started on legedaries and mythicals. I used to be really big into collecting those.

    Mimikyu
Mimikyu with a menacing shadow cast over it
I was introduced to Mimikyu through this song and it was basically love at first sight. I even own a lifesize plushy that takes up half a seat on the couch.

Dragonite (my pfp) is my most favorite. beyond that, i do not have them ranked cleanly, but infernape and lucario are on top.

In fact I also imagined a mega dragonite, which was not to dissimilar with official design from this year, though my design change also invoved a type change (dragon water or fairy), but i did imagine it getting a bit more bluer and embracing dragonair like features, which it did (head wings), but not the color.

beyond these, I like most pokemon (though definite bias towards older pokemon)(pre gen 7)(beyond gen 8, i just can not even tell all pokemon and the amount).

Shedinja. Cool ability and unique play style. Got better over time with the physical/Special split and new moves. (Ninjask is also pretty cool)

Porygon. Love the whole line up, but Porygon Z kinda wins out. Learns a lot of good moves through TM. My favourite utility player.

Archeops. Very much a glass cannon. But I always find a slot for it.

Slaking. Big bulky physical attacker and a great giga impact user.

Hariyama. Don’t ask me why, because I don’t truly know. I just love using it, might be my favourite pure fighting type.

Toxicroak. I like the poison type, I like the poison type. And it looks cool.

Swampert - I love my big, mudskippin’ boy. Also, mega Swamper just makes him more ridiculous

    Onburn and Kaenjisi.

Don’t know what they’re called in English. Fire lion who looks like the antagonist in X and Y, and a big bat. I love bats.

Mine are Lilligant, Minccino and Hattrem just because they are cute.

When it comes to Lilligant, I like running the classic Own Tempo Lilligant with Quiver Dance and Petal Dance. It’s fun to get it set up and have it sweep through opposing mons.

    Lilligant

Minccino (and down the line, Cinccino) has got to be the best user of Technician / Skill Link with its move pool of Tail Slap, Bullet Seed and Rock Blast. Also, it’s funny to imagine this smol lil’ chinchilla smacking the crap out of some legendary with its tail.

    Minccino

Hattrem is a recent favourite thanks to the Pokemon: Horizons anime. I don’t know much about it outside the anime, but I gotta say its Pokedex entry is rather funny. (Scarlet version: “To this Pokémon, strong emotions apparently feel like incredibly loud noises - even if the emotions are happy ones.”)
