I didn’t think it’s sad though, they were being honest with each other thinking they were about to die, and kinda grew because of it. Sometimes you have to put everything on the table. It’s not like they broke up and then were toxic to each other afterwards. I think it’s pretty healthy to be honest and reflect on the relationship, and then go to another world and destroy an evil spider thing together.
This fact is especially sad now.
