Huh. I knew the name Snidely Whiplash, and I knew about the character that tied girls to railroad tracks, but it was today that I learned that those are the same guy. I always thought Dastardly was Whiplash, despite having grown up on wacky races.
Snidely would have been apropos. Just a dick for the pure satisfaction of being a dick. Dastardly at least had sensible motive and fairly apt reasoning.
Dick Dastardly. Admittedly, Snidely would’ve been better.
(And I’m gonna choose to ignore the very obvious indications that Dick Dastardly was just traced nearly 1:1 from that very picture on Wikipedia.)
