While Hytale started as a Minecraft mod, it’s an original game with a similar block-building sandbox vibe. It finally launched last week without Steam support, and already, a 15-year-old modder named iamcxv7 has pulled off something incredible, getting Minecraft and Hytale to work together, almost like they were designed to be compatible from the start.
