While Hytale started as a Minecraft mod, it’s an original game with a similar block-building sandbox vibe. It finally launched last week without Steam support, and already, a 15-year-old modder named iamcxv7 has pulled off something incredible, getting Minecraft and Hytale to work together, almost like they were designed to be compatible from the start.

You can see footage of a Minecraft player and a Hytale player in the same world together, interacting with each other while the time of day and text chat stay synced between them:

    I wonder how well crafting gets compatibility. Else its just a way to mobilise farmbots friends

    And its probably going to be annoying for servers when they add compatibility
